WOW!!!!

So, this week and next I am being evaluated in my classroom. I remember once another fellow opt. teacher saying that being hired by the Church Education System is harder then getting FBI Top Secret clearance. He was a FBI agent prior to coming aboard the voyage of being a Seminary teacher. I kind of laughed it off, but know I am repenting of my scorn. It is amazing how much of a challenge it is. I teach special needs seminary in the morning and I thought that was a challenge. But that is like walking through a store of free ice cream.... A delightful bliss. But my other class, student teaching class. WOW! Talk about crazy difficult. They were walking zombies who didn't like eachother. Cat fights, boy fights, no verbal communication, glazed eyes or top of heads. I thought, what have I got myself into. Slowly they have become the most amazing group of youth I have ever

I LOVE AMERICAN!!!!! Long live the brave and loyal. My neighbor was sent to Iraq this month and WOW. All of sudden, I realized, really realized that we are in war and thier are loved ones over there risking their lives and thier families lives. What a sacrifice, my neighbor, MEGAN, makes every day. Living her life in her new home with 2 kids and a HUSBAND, DAD, and best friend MIA from home. I know that Jake is making sacrifices away from his family, but life sure isn't easy for Megan. With new landscaping that hasn't quite settled in right, lumpy lawn, leaky sprinklers, and yard work, she has her hands full. And I am sure her heart is full this holiday season as we celebrate America and all she gives to us.

Sink or Swim

That should be the title of my life. I seem to always feel like, if I don't start swimming harder then I am going to sink!
Work is crazy, the girl I worked with quit. Which was a really good thing for her, I think. She lived so far away, it had to be a pain. But it wasn't necessarily a good thing for me. I already was busy, but now I am super busy trying to do everything she seemed to do so easily. Trying to keep it under 40 hours is hard, and I don't want to even work that since I am still working for CES training and such. Another sink or swim is my training for tri's. That is a catch 22 situation. It's hard to find the time and energy, but I also love it because it is a stress relief and makes me feel good. So, I find myself running or swimming at 11pm. Don't worry I don't ride my bike that late. I am scared of the dark and oncoming head lights.
So, my next tri is in Bear Lake this weekend. I am really excited for it. I have been looking forward to it all summer. It may be cold, but at least it is home court advantage. My last one was last week here in Logan. I did awesome, if I can say that. I won my division. YIPPEE. Pretty soon my niece Kenna will be able to do them too:). I hear she is a fish in the water.
Oh, PS my house is awesome. I love it. And I love living with Alli. It is really nice to live with someone who is your best friend, sister, and someone you look up to.

Here's the new home of Carlye Dahl and Alli Dahl. Yeah. I finally figured out how to do this. It looks lop sided, but it's not the house, only the photographer.

Disney and Running

Kay, everyone knows I get along with kids so well because I am still a kid. They are more at my level. Well, yesterday morning I went swimming at 5am and lets just say, kids don't like getting up early. Around 8:30 I was wiped out. But I still wanted to go running. So, around 9:30 I finally motivated myself. So, with Sage begging to go outside and my legs aching to stay inside, I decided to let SAGE win. I love her way too much.
Well, I headed out with Sage, a leash, and of course my IPOD. Yes, Jenny, the world of running is so different with tunes. Music has an unique power of influence. Being tired, I needed some pick me up music. WHAT did I pick, DISNEY!!!!!! You'd be surprised how fun it is to run to Ugly Bug Ball or the romantic Mary Poppins, or Lion King. (I just realize that they almost say the F word in the song, F_RT! Pee you!)
Well thanks to the kid tunes, I was rejuvenated and as my spirit lifted so did my legs. Sage and I spent a romantic evening running under the full moon with Disney setting the mood. I ran a lot further and longer with Disney reenergizing me to my youth!
