Europe August 2008

This was a visit in Germany to Dachau, one of the most shocking concentration camps. Heartbreakig history of what pride in man can do! The picture that looks like brick ovens, they are! But not for pizza :(

This is Ashley my Europe Partner. We had been on the road for days, can you tell we were getting tired!!!?

A prettier side of Germany. The castle that inspired Disneys Castle.

And hereis my cute german man I wanted to take home.

I loved visiting Europe, But in the end I missed God's Country USA!!! We flew into Paris for a day, then went to Florence, Venice, Italy. Then to Switzerland, which was the most beautiful landscape I have ever seen!!! I would go back there in a heartbeat. Then Germany, Frieberg to Berlin, hopped on a plane to Dontesk Ukraine. And back home. It was a trip full of memories and pictures. God Bless America. I love this land and our people.

GREAT Quote for the confused mind

“Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.”- Rainer Maria Rilke, German poet
Just like a sunset, gradually setting and bringing a new day.
Sunsets are the reminders that a new day is coming, and God will give you rest until then!

Other NEWS!!!!!!!!!!

So, you ready for the big news? Some may think they know, but I am full of surprises! But the best one I recieved was on Father's Day. Matt and Jenny said they are "95%" moving to Utah! Now that is great news. But with my luck my news might make me move to somewhere else before they move here!!!

So, it is official I will be teaching seminary right here in Cache Valley. I will be teaching the Adaptive Needs classes! What a wonderful blessing. If you could only imagine the joy I recieve from teaching such earthly angels. As far as the future, I don't know where they will send me, but for now I am staying right here! Hallelujah!!!!

But before I start teaching, one other thing is also official, I am going to Europe!!! In August! France, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, and of course Ukraine!!! Yep, I am pretty much the luckiest person ever!! And after last week and my root canal yesterday, I think I pretty much deserve a little excitment and happiness. What a boost!!!

Sorry if this news disappoints anyone, I know many of you were hoping for the "I am getting married" news. You will just have to wait with me!!!!

Happy Days to all who read. I hope you are smiling as big as me!!! I think the pain killers are helping with that, LOL!

So, being a women isn't exactly easy! Especially at 6am when you feel as if there is a rabid raccoon in your stomach. Labor pains? They don't compare!!! HA HA, right? Well have you ever gone into shock because the pain was so horrid!!! At least you can ask for an epidural! I just thought I was a pansy until my hands started tingling, my legs went numb, and I couldn't breath. Then I finally admitted that I wanted a doctor. Those that know me may know I hate the doctors, and I hate the Logan Emergency room (bad memories). Yet I found myself there, and within 30 minutes my life seemed to be more than the essence of a great dream (drugs!). Gotta love doctors that will give a little help.
Don't worry I am feeling better, and although a hysterectomy sounds fabulous, I will wait and see if the new plan works!!!
ps sorry for any males reading this and catching them off guard, oops!

Big News to tell and Big News to come!!!!

So, the big news in to tell you all now......................... I have finally cut my "one beauty" (Little Women). Yes, it is true. I cut the long wonderful hair that used to flow down my back and keep me warmer. Now, I have a cool breeze hitting me on the neck. Unfortunetly it is not the breath of some dashing young man, but the breeze that flows through the air naturally. Honestly I haven't missed it, but I really miss my hair. Sad but true, I was attached and now I feel like I lost an arm. Besides the fact that I really am not a fan of the hair cut. That is why a picture is not included. Its to short to fix right now, so you will have to wait until I am not so ashamed. I know, I know, its only hair. But you try cutting off a body part that you have had for 3 years and actually liked. It'd be one thing if it were fat, lol. Although I did lose at least a pound!!!! :)

Okay, ready for the next big news???????

You will have to wait until the next time a blog!!! Which will be soon, don't worry. This is big news. Life Changing news!!!! But I won't be moving:)

California April 2008

Here's a few pics from our fun trip to California. It was the sis's birthday. And boy did we back in the fun. Beach on Friday. I was too woosy to get in, but as you can see the rest of the clan did. And then they came rushing back when they saw seals swimming and playing by them.
Then Saturday we went and watched Julian play T-ball. Of course he has skills like his daddy. Go you little Slugger Julian. And he played so well and paid attention so good while his fan club watched. It was a big deal, the Dahl's filled the bleachers. Dad, Mom, Grampa, Nanna, Renee, Carlye, Tessa, Alli, and Kiss. You definitely knew we were there, the way we cheered. Don't worry we cheered for everyone, it was awesome to see the little players give it there all!!!
We also ate really really really good. From ribs at the ClaimJumper to Nanna's home kitchen. It was fattening up time.
Monday was short but fun. We shopped like all girls do, and it was for not just ourselves but also for the Birthday girls.
But my all time favorite time was "bedtimes" not because the kids went to sleep, but because it gave me a chance to lay by my sweet nephew and niece. I loved just talking with them and listening to their stream of thought as sleep came upon them. I can't wait to be a mom and enjoy that quality time. But for now I am really happy to be an Aunt and thankful to have brothers that will let me spend time with their little angels.

VACATION's

And my 5 day vacation begins. I won't have to work for another five days. WOW!! It is so much work to get ready, but I know it will be worth it. Doing lesson plans for 3 different classes, catching up on work at the office and finding a "doggy sitter", it all worth it. Even the anticipation is fun.

I leave for St. George Sunday, for 3 days of relaxation and rejuvenation. I feel so lucky. I can't wait and I get to do it with the girls. I haven't been on a "girl" adventure in eons!!! We will do a little mtn biking and a lot of climbing. And whole lot of girl giggling and fun!!!!

Be jealous if you must, but remember, I work 12-14 hour days for many many months, and its about time. You mother's may be thinking, I work more hours than that, and I admire you, but it is at least work for you children and husband. I take care of other peoples children and husbands. And don't even get the perks, LOL!!!! Keep your eyes on this blog. I will definately post pics.

Paying to Excercise!

I don't know if I would pay myself to excercise, but I will save money for the tri season, which is fast approaching. TOO FAST. I just started training again. A lazy winter causes a very distressing, uncomfortable and sore Spring. Ouchy! And the pain continues. But I am soooooo EXCITED to get my bike off the trainer and on the roads. YEAH!!!
